Frank has been a busy man of late, running his new company Frank Warwick Baits and the various shows that go with it where hopefully you guys might have been able to speak with him. However he still managed to get one of his first personal fishing trips of the year with a visit to Bluebell Lakes for a couple of days.
Check out the catches he had below and the shots of Frank’s setup using Century C2 rods.
Report by Frank:
It was about time I managed to get away from work for a few days and put some quality time in on the bank. I was going with a good mate of mine Guy Aitkins and was really looking forward to putting our new baits to good use and hopefully getting into a few 30’s. I was setup with Century C2 12’ 3.50lb which I have been using since first arrival last year and Guy was using his personal Century NG’s. The C2 hooked up with the Shimano Technium reels is a great combination, yeah it looks the shit and some people going to claim I’m turning into a tackle tart but it bloody performs as well which is what I care about.
Within 24 hours I had taken a 39lb 10oz Common on Fruit Smoothy free offerings with a PH Special hookbait fished over the top. The showdown was on with Guy who also managed to take a 38lb 12oz Common using our Fireflie Zig hook bait in same period. Two cracking results and like to remind him that “mine is bigger than yours”.
We each got more catches from the trip with a 31lb for me and 32lb 14oz for Guy. Great trip and look forward to the season getting properly underway now. Now I just need to work out how to top Ardy and his 72lb.
