Sean has been one of the most successful carp anglers in the UK this season with a consistent run of some of the biggest and best looking catches. There doesn’t look like many signs of him slowing down either with his recent result on the Roach Pit. Well done Sean and glad the ADV-1 rods are doing the business for you.
Report by Sean:
It’s been a month since my last report and in that time things have gone really well for me on Roach Pit. In my last report I spoke about how I was managing to get amongst a few and things have pretty much carried on. I’ve had a further seven carp this month topped by the mighty Atlas at 45lb+. I had also been fortunate enough to have mirrors of 29lb, 31lb 2oz, 35lb 6oz, 35lb 14oz, 35lb 15oz and 38lb 10oz but the capture of Atlas really topped things off for me this month in fine style.
This fish had become a bit of an obsession for me as I was sure it was feeding on my bait but was getting away with it. Well after a small change in tactics less than 24hrs later Atlas was in my net.
Once again all of these fish were tamed using the 12ft 3.25lb ADV-1 rods and I can honestly say they have done me proud. I have had some epic fights off a few of the fish this month including a fifteen minute boat battle with the mighty Atlas and they have always produced the goods at the end of it. The matching ADV-1 landing net has been used to the max too and being a bit of a tart when it comes to my kit, the fact that the net matches the rods is an added bonus.
The Roach Pit locals have informed me that the next month is often typically the best month of the year on the venue so as you can imagine, I’m looking forward to putting a couple more fish on the bank. Let’s hope I’m fortunate enough to get amongst them, I’ll let you know next time.
