Last week Mike Gerritsen, owner of wholesale company The Carpcollector in Holland and distributor of Century in the Benelux, travelled together with good friend Stefan van Esch to France to fish for a week.
Century has teamed up with Ken South who is also closely linked with UK leading company Kryston Advanced Angling.
It was all pencilled into the diary. I had a last 48hr session planned before we were off on our annual family holiday.
One last important task to perform, and that was to get the car in for a major service before our journey through France. This is where things all started to unravel as something which at first seamed pretty straight forward with the car turned into a much larger job. And worst of all a much more time consuming one! My last long session before the kids summer holidays started was looking highly unlikely now.

Ian has continued to catch them during the recent Summer heat wave. He takes on the story below and provides a couple of photos of his latest carp to have been caught whilst using Century 13ft FMA 2′s. The picture in the dark is a carp that went 40lbs 10oz. The other is a 37lb 6oz specimen.
A report from Peder Lichtenburg and his fellow angler Michael at Fryernings Fisheries, Essex UK: Peder has recently returned from a difficult trip to France in early May where a total of 9 carp were taken between the group of 4 over 14 days – but all over 40lb with the biggest being the Scar Fish again at 91 lb..
